November 2018, Combo Benchmark 2.0 was created and received a rename: Benchmarking Survey Tool, version 2.0. Now, we are a year further and have issued several releases to execute our mission, which is to make sure that you are successful at benchmarking. To help with that, we offer you a standardized survey benchmarking system, that can be completely customised to your wishes.
Benchmarking among members, 70% of the associations want to do it, but only 30% manages to conduct benchmarking. Off course, professional associations do sometimes conduct surveys among their members, but those are more customer satisfaction surveys, about how the members experience the association. Real benchmarking surveys focus on member insight and improvement. And are of much value for both the association and the members.
Successful benchmarking tends to have at least one thing in common: a structured approach. We help associations to conduct benchmarking among members successfully, efficiently, effectively and with massive value. We developed the COMPARE method to help you in using a structured approach.
A benchmark should have a purpose and a focus. Decide in advance what you want to achieve, such as finding clues to improve one or more specific organisational processes. And also determine what part of the organisation is involved, for example, a department, a product group or a specific product.
